GOVERNOR CHEBOI CONDEMNS KAPEDO ATTACKS Baringo County Governor Hon. Benjamin Cheboi has condemned today’s attack on security officers and civilians at Kapedo area, bordering Turkana and Baringo counties.22 innocent lives were lost. ‘’I received the news with a lot of shock and disbelief that our gallant soldiers can be butchered mercilessly by bandits who should be properly be dealt with’’ said governor Cheboi. Hon. Cheboi called on President Uhuru Kenyatta and Inspector General of police David Kimaiyo to urgently intervene and restore calm and order in the affected area. ‘’When it has a point where bandits cause mayhem kill even security officers, then it is no longer a matter of cattle rustling but criminal activities and should be dealt with full force of the law.’’ Said Cheboi. He sent his condolences to the bereaved families saying his thoughts and prayers are with them during this trying moment.
