GOVERNOR MRUTTU VISIT MOI HOSPITAL PATIENTS Today, H.E the Governor Eng. John Mruttu chose to usher the New Year by comforting our brothers and sisters in Moi Hospital. Governor Mruttu visited all the sick at their hospital bed side in all the four Wards. As a New Year gift, the Governor requested the hospital Medical Superintendent Dr. Abel Mwenja to wave the hospital charges for two patients who are said to come from very humble backgrounds. He further directed Health Department Chief Officer, to explore ways in which orphans and those who are from poor homes, can have their hospital bills waived. In the curent financial Year, the County government will buy a City Scan Machine at a cost of Ksh 38Million, a laundry Machine, replace a few worn out beds, construct a modern maternity theatre with an ICU Unit at a approximately cost of Ksh4.5 Million. Apart from the staff shortage that was caused by residents’ petitioning the employment process through the County Assembly, most of the patients attested to the fact that services in the hospital have greatly improved.
