GOVERNOR PATRICK REQUESTS SBA AID FOR REVERE TORNADO SURVIVORS Today, Governor Deval Patrick has sent a letter to the Small Business Administration (SBA) requesting financial assistance for those affected by a strong EF-2 rated tornado which touched down in the cities of Chelsea and Revere in Suffolk County Massachusetts on Monday July 28, 2014. Thankfully there were no fatalities or serious injuries reported as a result of this tornado. Based on the joint damage assessment between the City of Revere and the Massachusetts Emergency Management Agency (MEMA), Governor Patrick has requested that the SBA issue a declaration of physical disaster for Suffolk County so that low interest loans may be made available to the affected individuals, families and businesses as they work to recover from this event.
