GOVERNORSHIP RACE 2015 GROUP ENDORSES SENATOR HELEN ESUENE FOR HILLTOP MANSION By Assam Abia A socio – political Group in Eket, Akwa Ibom State, Grassroot Youth Network has thrown her weight behind the aspiration of Senator Helen Esuene as the Governor of Akwa Ibom State in 2015. In a communiqué signed by the Director – General of the Group, Otuekong Edon Ernest Edon, Coordinator Wisdom Itauma and Secretary General Evangelist Akpekanem Francis Akpekanem (JP) and made available to newsmen, the Group stated that as a one time member of the Political Reform Conference, Minister of State for Health, Minister of Environment, Lands and Housing and currently a Senator of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, the Senator representing Eket Senatorial district has the best credentials to occupy Hilltop mansion in 2015. The statement reads in part “Senator Helen Esuene is a tested, trusted, dependable and reliable personality of proven integrity” she is most fit to occupy Hilltop mansion come 2015. The Group which had over 200 youths in attendance at the historic meeting has promised to go round the thirty one local government area of the state to drum up support for the distinguished Senator. Present at the meeting was the former speaker of Akwa Ibom State House of Assembly among others.
