GOVT TO AWARD OUTSTANDING FARMERS AND INDIVIDUALS The government, through the Ministry of Agriculture and Livestock, has requested the Zambia National farmers Union to submit names of three farmers from each province who have outstanding performance and have made significant contribution to the agricultural production and food security, be it crop, livestock or fish farming. The Union has further been requested to submit names of 10 individuals from across the country who have outstanding performance and have made significant contribution to the development of the agricultural sector. Nominations must give an account of distinguished service, innovation, outstanding performance, and the years such an individual has been in production or service. The nominated individuals will be awarded with Golden Jubilee medals during the independence anniversary celebrations.
