GPRA Fans...look at this amazing news!!! Please share and help spread the word!!!! Dear Great Pyrenees Friends, We are going to raise $50,000 by Thanksgiving Day. We have had an extraordinary medical expense year and are spending an average of almost $1,300 per Giant which is $500 more than last year. We watch our costs with great care but the fact is, heart worm positive dogs are now costing $1,200 instead of $600 due to the cost of the drug required. Carleys kidney removal is over $5,000, we have had multiple ear canal removals at $3,000 a shot, multiple leg amputations with Tory and Q-Tip the latest, knee surgeries like Easters, kidney stone removal like Chloes and the list goes on and on. These PYRS would not be if not for GPRA and our remarkable medical group and foster network. I recently spoke with the president of another PYR rescue and she indicated they wont take PYRS over 5 years old, PYRS with heart worm or any medical condition and they wont take a PYR that is not spayed/neutered. They simply dont have the funds. Look into your Giants eyes and imagine life without him/her. If we are to continue to rescue those that no other rescue will and invest the money to cure them like no other rescue can we need the GPRA Family to join hands. This is what we are going to do. We have a generous anonymous person who will match all donations we receive between now and Thanksgiving Day up to $25,000!!! In other words, if you donate $25, GPRA receives $50. If you donate $1,000, GPRA gets $2,000. All you have to do is go to greatpyratlanta and hit donation, pay on paypal and Debbie will provide your tax deductible receipt. If you prefer, you can send a check to the address on the website. I am kicking this off tonight with a $5,000 donation so we are already out of the gates with $10,000.
