GRACE - In Zechariah 3 Joshua was standing before the Angel of the Lord and satan was standing on the other side to oppose him. The Lord rebuked satan and got Joshua cleaned up; got rid of his filthy rags. “The cleansing of Joshua was not complete with the removal of his sin-soiled garments. God replaced the dirty clothes, dressing Joshua in clean garments that represented the gift of God’s righteousness. As sin is removed by the work of Christ, so His righteousness is placed in the believer’s account. We are clothed in the garments of Christ’s righteousness. The fact that Joshua had no part in his cleansing indicates that this work was totally by God’s grace” – (Nelson Study Bible) How many times has God had to clean us up? How many times have we been shown grace? *Dear God if there is anything filthy in us, please remove it right now in the name of Jesus. Renew our minds and cleanse our hearts so we can be more Christ-like and do what Your will would have us to do. Clothe us in Your righteousness Lord. We want Your will to be done in our lives. In the mighty name of Your son Jesus Christ we pray, Amen!
