GRACE AND LAW- What is the solid food or meat in the Christian faith?! Scripturally,the law gives you what you deserve while grace gives you what the Lord Jesus Christ deserves. Many times we think the hard christian teaching is the solid food,but grace is the solid food.All men understand the operation of the law (you get what you deserve) and it requires no help from the Spirit to understand,but grace(you get what another man,Jesus the Lord, deserves), requires ......the Spirit to understand. With grace the righteousness of God is imparted upon us,(2Co 5:21 For he,God, hath made him,Jesus, to be sin for us, who knew no sin; that we might be made the righteousness of God in him.).Not many can understand the intensity of this verse,but with the law comes getting what you deserve,like everyone understands this...(Deu 28:15 But it shall come to pass, if thou wilt not hearken unto the voice of the LORD thy God, to observe to do all his commandments and his statutes which I command thee this day; that all these curses shall come upon thee, and overtake thee:) Heb 5:13 For every one that useth milk is unskilful in the word of righteousness: for he is a babe....The mature believer is one who understands the word of righteousness-the word that shows us we are righteous,the message of grace.Not necessarily the oldest in the faith or any other matters considered,but knowledgeable of the message of grace. The message of grace will free you from sin(Rom 6:14 For sin shall not have dominion over you: for ye are not under the law, but under grace.),the message of grace will weaken sin as it substitutes the law(1Co 15:56 The sting of death is sin; and the strength of sin is the law.).The law is to reveal our fallen state,not to save us,it is grace which saves us.(The law exposes us-Romans 3:20;For no one can ever be made right in Gods sight by doing what his law commands. For the more we know Gods law, the clearer it becomes that we arent obeying it.,grace saves us-Eph 2:5;Even when we were dead in sins, hath quickened us together with Christ, (by grace ye are saved;) ). If you are not born again,you need to humble yourself and recieve the Lord Jesus Christ into your like,then you will walk into this bountless goodness of God. When you experience Jesus Christs love the heat simply melts your heart.His goodness is what draws the hearts of men to repentence and righteousness.He is so good that He puts aside a crown of glory to takeup a crown of thorns for you...if only you had His goodness revealed to you,you will never be the same.Always for you,not counting your flaws against you,always desiring you....this sweet Nazarene!
