GRACE, noun [Latin gratia, which is formed on the Celtic; Eng. agree, congruous, and ready. The primary sense of gratus, is free, ready, quick, willing, prompt, from advancing.] 1. Favor; good will; kindness; disposition to oblige another; as a grant made as an act of grace Or each, or all, may win a ladys grace 2. Appropriately, the free UNMERITED love and favor of God, the spring and source of all the benefits men receive from him. And if by GRACE then it is NO MORE OF WORKS. Romans 11:5. 3. Favorable influence of God; divine influence or the influence of the spirit, in RENEWING the heart and RESTRAINING from sin. My GRACE is SUFFICIENT for thee. 2 Corinthians 12:9. 4. The application of CHRISTS RIGHTEOUSNESS to the sinner. Where SIN ABOUNDED, GRACE did MUCH MORE abound. Romans 5:2. 5. A state of RECONCILIATION to God. Romans 5:2:2. 6. Virtuous or religious affection or disposition, as a liberal disposition, faith, meekness, humility, patience, etc. proceeding from divine influence. 7. Spiritual instruction, improvement and edification. Ephesians 4:29. 8. Apostleship, or the qualifications of an apostle. Ephesians 3:8. 9. Eternal life; final salvation. 1 Peter 1:13. 10. Favor; mercy; pardon. CONDEMNATION, noun 1. The act of condemning; the judicial act of declaring one guilty, and dooming him to punishment. For the judgment was by one to condemnation Romans 5:16. *NOW HERE IS THE KICKER, LADIES AND GENTLEMEN....STRAIGHT FROM THE WORD OF GOD.....Romans 8:1 (KJV) There is therefore NOW NO CONDEMNATION to them which are in Christ Jesus, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit. Ephesians 2:8 For by GRACE are ye saved THROUGH FAITH; and that NOT OF YOURSELVES: it is the GIFT of God: It saddens me to see so many Christians putting people back under the law, telling people they have to do something or continue to do something in order to be / stay saved! The Word of God says in Isaiah 64:6 (KJV) But WE ARE ALL as AN UNCLEAN THING, and ALL OUR RIGHTEOUSNESSES ARE as FILTHY RAGS; and we all do fade as a leaf; and OUR INIQUITIES, (SINS), like the wind, HAVE TAKEN US AWAY. Pay attention here! It says WE ARE ALL...this means everyone, even those who are saved and call themselves Christian. None of us are clean and none of us are righteous enough for a Holy God....NONE! So, it doesnt matter what you do, how often or when. Your WORKS will NEVER be good enough! THANK GOD FOR HIS GRACE! That is why Ephesians 2:8 tells us we are saved by GRACE and that it is a GIFT! When is the last time you gave someone a gift and made them work or do something for it to receive it and to keep it? The Word of God says that once you hear the gospel of your salvation and believe it, you are SEALED with the Holy Spirit of promise until the day of redemption....THE RAPTURE! Ephesians 1:13 In whom YE also TRUSTED, AFTER that YE HEARD the word of truth, the GOSPEL OF YOUR SALVATION: in whom also after that YE BELIEVED, YE WERE SEALED with that holy Spirit of promise SEALED!!!! Can you or any one or any thing break that seal? NO!!!! Romans 8:38-3 (KJV) For I am persuaded, that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor powers, nor things present, nor things to come, Nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature, SHALL BE ABLE TO SEPARATE US FROM THE LOVE OF GOD, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord. So, if YOUR righteousness is as filthy rags, how will you be considered holy before God? The Word tells us that too: Romans 3:22 Even the RIGHTEOUSNESS OF GOD which is by faith of Jesus Christ unto ALL and upon ALL them THAT BELIEVE: for there is no difference: And 2 Corinthians 5:21 For he hath made him to be sin for us, who knew no sin; that we might be made the righteousness of God in him. You werent righteous, holy, or without sin when Jesus died on that cross....Romans 5:8 (KJV) But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, WHILE WE WERE YET SINNERS, Christ died for us. You are NEVER going to be perfect / righteous, no matter how hard you try....Romans 3:10 (KJV) As it is written, There is NONE righteous, no, NOT ONE: There was only ever ONE who was perfect and holy and righteous....and He is the only ONE who ever will be.... So please, STOP beating yourself up trying to out perform God! STOP listening to those who are telling you that you are not and will never be good enough! STOP letting people lie to you and tell you that God is mad at you! We are saved by GRACE today, not WORKS! Romans 11:6 And if by GRACE, then is it NO MORE OF WORKS: OTHERWISE GRACE IS NO MORE GRACE. But IF IT BE OF WORKS, then IT IS NO MORE GRACE: otherwise work is no more work. Doesnt mean you have license to sin, as Paul states in Romans 6:6-14(KJV) 6 What shall we say then? Shall we continue in sin, that grace may abound? 2 God forbid. How shall we, that are dead to sin, live any longer therein? 3 Know ye not, that so many of us as were baptized into Jesus Christ were baptized into his death? 4 Therefore we are buried with him by baptism into death: that like as Christ was raised up from the dead by the glory of the Father, even so we also should walk in newness of life. 5 For if we have been planted together in the likeness of his death, we shall be also in the likeness of his resurrection: 6 Knowing this, that our old man is crucified with him, that the body of sin might be destroyed, that henceforth we should not serve sin. 7 For he that is dead is freed from sin. 8 Now if we be dead with Christ, we believe that we shall also live with him: 9 Knowing that Christ being raised from the dead dieth no more; death hath no more dominion over him. 10 For in that he died, he died unto sin once: but in that he liveth, he liveth unto God. 11 Likewise reckon ye also yourselves to be dead indeed unto sin, but alive unto God through Jesus Christ our Lord. 12 Let not sin therefore reign in your mortal body, that ye should obey it in the lusts thereof. 13 Neither yield ye your members as instruments of unrighteousness unto sin: but yield yourselves unto God, as those that are alive from the dead, and your members as instruments of righteousness unto God. 14 For sin shall not have dominion over you: for YE ARE NOT UNDER THE LAW, BUT UNDER GRACE. You are loved! :)
