GRAND PARENTS’ DAY CELEBRATED WITH FERVOUR ‘Grand Parents’ day’ was celebrated with a lot of enthusiasm by the K.G. wing of the school on 9th and 10th October,2014. It was a celebration honouring grand parents’ and recognizing their influence in the society. The purpose was to generate a feeling of love and respect in our tiny-tots for their grandparents. The students of UKG and 3 sections of Pre KG put up a cultural programme which was a remarkable blend of songs, dances and plays. The blooming buds cast their spell on the audience with their commendable performance. The items presented by the students especially ‘Classical Dance’, ‘Tribute to Bollywood’, and ‘Unity in diversity’ won a great applause from the viewers. In the ‘Apsara’ dance the students attired in colourful dresses stole the hearts of the audience. The synchronization exhibited in ‘Fusion dance’ was really marvelous. The choreography on ‘Kashmir’ issue presented by the students lent a patriotic touch to the programme. Appropriate costumes and back drops used in the English play ‘Cindrella’ mesmerized the viewers. Overall the day was full of fun and excitement for one and all. The grand parents also enthusiastically took part in different activities like ‘Flower arrangement’, ‘Salad decoration’, ‘Fireless cooking’ and ‘One Minute show’. It was a treat to see the keen participation of the grand parents. The Principal of the school Mrs.J.K. Sidhu thanked the grand parents for sparing their valuable time from their busy schedule and expressed the hope that they would share a strong bonding with the school in the times to come.
