GRANDPARENTS/GRAND FRIENDS BOOK FAIR!!! Bayou Academy is ready for the 3rd annual Grandparents/Grand friend’s Book Fair!! Grandparents are very important in children’s lives. Children feel a sense of pride and accomplishment when they know that people in their extended family and community are interested in their education! So, we are having a special celebration!! We would like to invite any grandparent’s and/or special friends of your child to join us for night of fun. On Monday, September 8th, we are having a Book Fair & Dinner. Books will be available for purchase to take home and we also encourage purchasing a book to donate to the library or your child’s classroom. A photo will be taken of your child and their guest(s) and displayed in the book of their choice. The children love finding these books with their pictures in them!! We need some help from you to make this event a huge success. Please send a stamped and addressed envelope(s) for the grandparent’s/grand friends that your child wishes to invite. Please have these envelopes returned to the school no later than Friday, August 22nd. If you would like to attend with your child (ren) and their guests, please fill out and return the attached RSVP form. As a result of this event, the school has been able to purchase 3 additional Accelerated Reading laptops, new tables and chairs and over 200 books have been donated!!
