GREAT CONSERVATIVE MOMENTS IN HISTORY: Socialist governments traditionally do make a financial mess. They always run out of other peoples money DETAILS: When asked in a 1976 televised interview of her plans as leader of the UK Conservative Party to bring down the then majority Labour Party in Parliament, Baroness Thatcher answered: I would much prefer to bring them down as soon as possible. I think theyve made the biggest financial mess that any governments ever made in this country for a very long time, and Socialist governments traditionally do make a financial mess. They always run out of other peoples money. Its quite a characteristic of them. They then start to nationalize everything, and people just do not like more and more nationalization, and theyre now trying to control everything by other means. Theyre progressively reducing the choice available to ordinary people. #CaptainRight #CaptainRightShow #GreatConservativeMomentsInHistory #MargaretThatcher ( youtube/watch?v=PAGqKhSw5Lg )
