GREAT NEWS AT SEATTLE NPR STATION KPLU! Joey Cohn. a longtime public radio professional with deep respect from all his colleagues has been appointed interim General Manager (CEO) as of today. Now lets hope KCTS TV will do the same and find a CEO with a little experience in public broadcasting and an actual concern for the mission of public TV instead of the corporate bottom line, something that is sorely lacking in the new corporate machine that seized power there, led by a board chair whos also on the board of the company that wants to build the Keystone XL pipeline. Congratulations KPLU--keep our public media public!
