GREAT NEWS FOR THE PEOPLE WANTING TO BE RESPONSIBLE PET OWNERS & HELP CUT DOWN THE PET OVER-POPULATION EPIDEMIC IN TEXOMA! There are several low cost spay/neuter programs in our area. Here are the details that I could find: ARDMORE: Oct. 11th & 12th, 2014. If you call and all of the appointments are already filled, you can be put on a waiting list for the next clinic! The following clinic is on Nov. 16th & 17th. This will be the last one in Ardmore until 2015. The cost is $40 for cats (3 months and up), and $50 for dogs (5 months and up). (There are NO income requirements, EVERYONE is welcome!) Please call 580-465-6692 to schedule an appointment. DURANT: Oct. 3rd, 4th, & 5th, 2014 The cost is $25 for cats, or $35 for dogs, however, to qualify, your household cannot make more than $35,000 per year, and you must bring proof of income, such as a W-2 or paycheck stubs. Call (580) 924-5873 to schedule an appointment. They will spay/neuter dogs and cats as young as 8 weeks old. DAVIS: Sept. 28th, Oct. 12th, Oct. 26th, Nov. 8th, Nov. 23rd, & Dec.14th, 2014 The cost is $35 for cats, or $40 for dogs 40 lbs. & under, & for bigger dogs add $10 for every additional 10 lbs. THEY ALSO OFFER $8 VACCINATIONS! To qualify in Davis, your household cannot make more than $50,000 per year, & you must provide proof of income, such as a W-2 or paycheck stubs. Call 580 622-3467 to schedule an appointment. They will spay/neuter dogs and cats of ANY age (no minimum age requirement). Also, they will spay any stray or feral cat for FREE!! NORMAN: Appointments are always available. Their Spay & Neuter (and Vaccination!) prices are lower than what a typical vet charges, and vary for different sizes of dogs and cats. If you are receiving Medicaid, DHS assistance, or SSI and have an Oklahoma Health Care Authority or Access card you may qualify. Prices may be as low as $20 for dogs and $10 for cats. You must apply and receive a voucher from Best Friends, then call to schedule your appointment.
