GREAT NEWS TODAY!!!! The doctors came in a saw Wendell this morning. He is on his last day of 5days of IVIG treatment, and he was able to push against the doctors hand with his foot today. So his strength is coming back ever so slowly. The doctor said quote he is turning the corner and we are past the stage of worrying about the ventilator now!!!!! THANK GOD!!! And thank YOU for all of your prayers, well-wishes, and concerns....because I honestly believe it played a large part in getting through the scary part of this. He will still need intense therapy, he is still confused at times, and his sodium level is quite elevated, BUT he is breathing without the help of oxygen and we are making progress towards getting him OUT of the ICU. I am soooo relieved and thankful beyond words. I am at work in Pascagoula today so I wont get to see him until tomorrow. But I will continue to keep all of you posted. Weve got a very long road ahead of us, but this is an excellent start to the journey.
