GREAT NEWS! Thank you to very generous donors, I ONLY have $2630 left to raise!!! We have until this Friday! My own KICKSTARTER campaign! I was asked by a long time friend to be GM of his App company in Austin, but because it doesn’t begin until later this Fall, I decided to do the beginnings of this film I am working on. The film, as many of you may know is about a late boyhood friend, Keith Jackson who rode his bicycle from Alaska to Argentina…18,000 miles in just 9 months, in 1974. 17 months after completing this incredible adventure Keith lost his earthly life in a tragic accident. However he left behind an amazing journal that his dear Mom, Edith put together in the form of a book. While on my adventure motorcycle ride to Central America, Keiths brother, Harry sent me the book and after reading this, I decided this has to be made into a movie. I secured the movie rights with Keith’s Family. Edith at age 94 just passed on July 2, but proudly knew we were doing this film in honor of Keith! Keith and I first met 3 days after I completed a coast to coast crossing of the U.S. in 1972. Keith was inspired to do his incredible journey and the circle of our friendship gets completed by me making this ride and film. On August 15, I will be riding, in honor of Keith, a bicycle from Alaska to L.A. We will be filming this and using parts of it in the “For Keith” film. I need a total of $10,500. One of my best friends has committed $2,000. I only need $2630 more! Contributors will be given credit in the film and a signed thank you photograph and immediately will be sent the digitized book and an article about the film project. Next Summer I will complete phase 2 from L.A. to Argentina, but this will be completed on my adventure motorcycle. Because of time and weather limits, I need to begin this adventure from Anchorage, Alaska no later than the 15th of August. So I need the funds no later than this coming Friday the 8th! Kickstarter takes too long at this point! So if any of you are interested in supporting this incredible journey please email me for bank detail.
