This course will help the participant not only to come to an understanding with the necessary nomenclature surrounding the many forms of Trigger Point work, but will also refine their understanding of what Trigger Point work is, and how it is presented to potential and existing clients. Emphasis is placed upon recognizing and refining the techniques that the attendee already has, and encouraging them to further their education in Trigger Point techniques. Nov. 16th: Pre & Post Surgical Massage Therapy (12hrs total: 9a-4p) This course will not only introduce the participant to the anatomy, procedures, and concerns surrounding the most common surgeries, but will prepare them to work with clients with their conditions. Working with the scope of practice of massage therapy, integrating care and treatments, as well as adapting our existing skill sets to better work within the medical paradigm is included in this class.
