GREAT OPPORTUNITY FOR INNOVATIVE YOUNG (18-35yrs) AFRICAN ENTREPRENEURS.... The World Bank’s Youth Summit October 3, 2013>> “Embracing Youth Entrepreneurship”>> In 2012, World Bank President Jim Kim challenged the organization’s youth community to think of ways to foster growth in young professionals who understand the challenges of persistent poverty, and create solutions to eliminate extreme poverty and boost shared prosperity.>> Recognizing the creative imagination and fearlessness of youth, the World Bank’s Junior Professional Associate (JPA) Community and WBG Youth are embracing President’s Kim challenge by asking young people around the world to participate in a twofold event. First, young professionals are invited to participate in the Development Case Competition. These cases highlight real life issues facing development organizations and focus on the following sub-topics: education, youth employment, and millennial communications. Solutions to these challenges must be submitted by September 8. Prizes vary by case and may include cash prizes and the chance to personally present the proposal to the implementing partner. >> Second, The Youth Summit, scheduled for Thursday, October 3, will feature notable panelists and provide a forum for young people from around the globe to share innovative ideas and development solutions aimed at creating employment opportunities for youth.>> For more information on the Development Case Competition and Youth Summit, please visit: bit.ly/WBGYouthSummit
