GREGS COUNTRY MUSIC NEWS & NOTES 12.2.14 DOLLY PARTON, CHARLIE DANIELS, BRENDA LEE, REBA McENTIRE, KENNY CHESNEY, LITTLE BIG TOWN, MARTINA McBRIDE, SARA EVANS, LEANN RIMES, THE DOOBIE BROTHERS, ZAC BROWN BAND, and others will raise money for their favorite charities through PARADE OF TREES at GAYLORD OPRYLAND RESORT in NASHVILLE. PARADE OF TREES has 15 decorated CHRISTMAS trees, with themes for each artist. The highest online bidder for each tree will receive the trees decorations and all prizes for that particular tree. Funds raised from that tree will be donated to the artists designated nonprofit organization. Bids can be placed between now and WEDNESDAY, DECEMBER 31st at OprylandParadeOfTrees. Condolences to LUKE BRYAN and his family as they mourn the passing of BRYANs brother-in-law, BEN LEE CHESHIRE, who passed away over the THANKSGIVING holiday weekend. CHESHIRE was the husband of BRYANs late sister, KELLY CHESHIRE, who passed away in 2007. BRYAN will be spending time with family in GEORGIA and has announced that he will not be present to perform at the CMT Artists Of The Year television special broadcast live TONIGHT (12/2) from NASHVILLE. BRYAN was named as one of CMT-TVs top five artists for 2014 and was slated to celebrate tonight during the live show. Thoughts and prayers are with BRYAN and his family during this difficult time. Police found the man they think is responsible for hurling a full beer at Dustin Lynch last month, and they’ve contacted the singer to see if he wants to press charges. During an interview, Lynch explained his next move and shared a few more details about what happened at the Mullet Festival in Niceville, Fla. Lynch says that the unidentified man is going to get away with the crime, because he doesn’t feel like doing the paperwork. Dustin has a nice scar beneath his right eye as a result of the incident, but doesn’t seem to be too bothered.
