GRINCH GULDENSCHUHS HUMP DAY SONG OF THE NIGHT (Previously posted on Romans of Georgia Worldwide page) Bah, humbug! I woke up depressed, out of synch and generally feeling hump day grumpy, so tonights song is dedicated to a ghost from Christmas past. Monday was the anniversary of John Lennons senseless murder in NY. Tonights song was his first post-Beatles song to reach number one. Elton John sang backup vocals and also played piano. Elton famously wagered Lennon that this song would become a #1 hit, and when it did, Lennon made good on the wager by making a guest appearance at an Elton John concert on Thanksgiving night 1974 at Madison Square Garden in New York City. It turned out to be one of Lennons last live rock performances. Backstage that night, Yoko Ono reunited with Lennon, ending Johns 18-month separation from her, known as his Lost Weekend. So, in recognition of how crappy I feel, I give you: WHATEVER GETS YOU THROUGH THE NIGHT. https://youtube/watch?v=5CPPm76oVjM
