GROUND HOG DAY: THE FERGUSON GRAND JURY EXPERIENCE HAS MORPHED INTO A VARIATION OF “GROUND HOG DAY.” I’ve seen this Bill Murray movie many times before. Interesting film about second (and third, fourth, fifth…) chances in life. But I must say that there is something perverse about watching a repetitive movie in a repetitive way! Is there really an end-game? I now feel the same way about the Ferguson Grand Jury, which reminds me more and more of Punxsutawney Phil – the weather oracle rodent. Will the Ferguson Grand Jury come into the light of day and reveal its shadowy secrets or will it remain holed up like an overly-reluctant Punxsutawney Phil, thus allowing us more time to board up store front windows? Furthermore, if indeed the Ferguson Grand Jury sees it shadow, will that mean we will have 6 more weeks (months?) of rioting? The wise among us will hope and pray for the best. Meanwhile…
