Qualifications and attributes: • Qualified CA (SA) Essentail • 7-10 years of relevant experience in a Commercial Financial Role post articles, managing a well-established team within a large Manufacturing environment essential • Must have managed a team of Financial managers, Accountants, Creditors and debtors clerks • Self-starter: able to execute well to completion with minimal direction • Strong attention to detail • Strong analytical skills needed to combine large quantities of data, identify trends and drivers, and distil them into insightful analysis for senior management • Ability to self-validate results before publication to ensure accuracy • Advanced modelling skills including excellent knowledge of Microsoft Excel • Global thinker who fosters teamwork across the organisation • Ability to meet tight deadlines and prioritise workloads and to work independently in a fast-paced and rapidly changing environment • Ability to multi-task & handle several priorities simultaneously • Excellent communication skills, ability to work well with all levels and departments within the company • Understanding of finance issues in an operational environment of rapid growth • Must be passionate about the business and focussed on delivering value Main responsibilities: • Oversee the finance and payroll management and production of sound financial information by these teams in all areas • Lead the annual budget and financial forecasting processes and identify areas to improve the effectiveness of financial planning activities, including timelines, tools and methods • Continuously improve financial reporting and produce regular reporting packages for senior managers and the board of directors • Develop and publish regular reporting dashboards with key metrics and trends to track results and progress against goals/KPIs with a view to optimising Flash and Dashboard reporting • Provide recommendations to senior management to achieve strategic goals • Conduct in-depth analysis on projects and investments to determine ROE and to optimise investment allocation • Own the long term financial plan/ model • Managing the cash and internal treasury functions and compliance for all legislations (SARS, CIPC, IFRS, payroll etc.) • Train and develop the skills of the Finance staff and provide opportunities for skill development to ensure high quality support to the team. • Lead development and maintenance of strong control environment • Manage performance of Syspro accounting system, leading improvement and system enhancement work, ensuring good housekeeping • Effectively organise and manage internal and external audits • Manage full BBBEE compliance process and audit • Perform ad hoc reporting and analysis as required
