GSDs in Need would like to thank Trainer G for his help in rehabilitating our dogs. We are also grateful that he did this without charging a training fee merely invoicing us for the standard boarding costs which resulted in a substantial saving for the rescue group - especially during times when we have had multiple dogs located at his kennels. The dogs have gone into wonderful forever homes - homes that they would never have had if we had not rescued them and paid for their transport and boarding at Trainer Gs. We currently have three dogs still located at Trainer Gs so will be discussing the best options for them and the logistics of transporting them to Brisbane. We will still continue to maintain our strict evaluation structure prior to placing a dog into foster care and will continue to rehabilitate German Shepherds here in Brisbane by utilising a number of positive reinforcement trainers who have offered their assistance. This means that we will still continue to rehabilitate German Shepherds who come to us with behavioural issues and still maintaining our strict procedure of evaluation prior to fostering or adoption. We will soon be announcing the date of our foster care seminar for all those who have expressed an interest in fostering one of our dogs. Full behavioural support will be offered to foster carers and this will also enable our dogs to adapt to life in a home and we can observe how they adapt in a home environment which eases their transition into a permanent home. We have been addressing and restructuring our administration to enable more timely responses. Currently as the majority of the admin team work so it can be difficult to respond to all our enquires so we have had to prioritise our responses with the focus being on the GSDs who need our immediate attention to remove them from a pound to prevent euthanasia or those who need to be moved from their homes. We would like to wish Trainer G and the G Team every success in their new business venture whilst our focus will remain the rescue of GSDs from pounds and other situations and ensuring their safety, wellbeing and new starts in loving forever homes.
