GT.K project update on test piece. Gotta say I am pretty stoked with this tail section, and will happily say that it is far from good. But as it goes I have learnt a ton from making this. So errors that need correcting:- 1) the design, requires a lot of refining to the form, especially in the definition of the parts that protrude out from the sides. 2) thickness of the part, I need to actually make it a bit thicker. As you can probably see, some parts of the piece are quite thin, and I actually lost the end cap. 3) I need to take more care when laying out the milliputt and forming over the form. Possibly even cutting it first so I dont get material bunching, and slack. 4) better finishing of the wet material so as reduce the amount of final surface finishing required. 5) I can actually push the form a little bit more, and in corporate a couple of additional structral/design features.
