GUIDELINES, RULES / REGULATIONS AND INFORMATION Competitor must be at least 18 years of age Competitor must submit a 4 minute unedited video to polekatzlehighvalley@gmail by April 1st 2014, please use a Facebook or You Tube link titled: The Lehigh Valley Polathon 2014 Submission Video. Your submission video must be a recent video There are four categories: Newbies - Dancers at this level are permitted to engage in floor work, dance, spinning moves, and climbs. There is no inverting at this level and hips must be below the shoulders at all times when the competitor’s entire body is on the pole. Newbies level competitors can use both spinning and static poles, but is not required to use both. Amateur - This is the appropriate level for dancers who have the ability to invert safely. In addition to the skills permitted in Level 1, dancers may perform inverts on the pole from the floor only. From up on the pole, dancers may not do aerial inverts or aerial shoulder mounts going up the pole, but they may descend into inverted moves. In all inverted moves, dancers must maintain three points of contact with the pole. Amateur level competitors must use both spinning and static poles. Master- This is the appropriate level for the pole dancer who can safely do aerial inverts by bringing the hips above the shoulders in a smooth and controlled motion. Dancers at this level may perform any tricks and any inversions, however dancers must maintain three points of contact with the pole while inverted. Master level competitors must use both spinning and static poles. Pro- This is the appropriate level for the most advanced pole dancer. Dancers at this level may perform any tricks and any inversions. While this is not a required element, we highly recommend that if you are competing at Pro Level that you can do at least 3 moves with 1-2 points of contact while inverted (ex. ayesha, handspring, and cocoon). Pro must use both spinning and static poles. Once all submission videos are in, if picked, you will receive a competitor package with additional information. The is a no tolerance policy for nudity. This includes buttox. The gluteal folds must be covered.
