Lafia Hospital had organized the Local birth attendance (LBA) before hand and sensitized them of the program. The Chief Medical Director of Lafia hospital, Dr. Aderemi Taiwo Olusola, introduced the NGO Guildance Community Foundation volunteer, and the personnel of the NGO, the personnel in attendance, Miss Dare Modupe a senior and management staff of the NGO. Dr. Aderemi delivered a seminar on the uses and advantages of health safety kit as pertaining to child birth and care with emphasis that if not because of the support from Sweet Mother International who provide birth kit free of charge, this programme would have not been possible. The LBAs appreciate the seminar anchor by Guildance Community Development Foundation and Sweet mother international for the kind gesture. DISTRIBUTION STRATEGY In this exercise Guildance Community Development Foundation collaborate with Lafia Hospital Apata Ibadan. The hospital is a twenty five beds facility running two days a week anti natal clinic. And also enjoin patronage of about two hundred and fifty community birth attendants as ultrasound Centre and referral institution. It is located about hundred meters from entrance gate of the Nigeria National Petroleum Corporation. The hospital community birth attendant networks span four local governments: Ido Local Government, Ibadan South west Local Government and part of Oluyole Local government all in Oyo State and Odeda Local Government neighbouring of Ogun State. This distribution took place at Omi Adio satellite town of Ibadan about Twenty Kilometre drive from the city centre. It serves as meeting point for community birth attendant in Ido Local Government. This day (16th of July, 2013) 30 executives’ members and 53 members of the CBA were present. Each of them was allocated 5 pieces of the birth kits directly as benefit. Marton Oladiran of Lafia hospital- a community health nurse with twenty three years’ experience sensitized the local birth attendants on objectives of the kits. The hospital manager Mr. Lanre Ishola and Miss Dare Modupe ensure equitable distribution of the kits. Chief Matron of Lafia Hospital Mrs. Magret Folayan was also presented with some units of the kits for use on indigents unbooks cases of the hospital.
