GUJARAT BANDH BY GPCC on 6.9.2013 Having remained steeped in corruption and murders, the BJP government has lost the moral sanction to govern the state. The Gujarat Congress party has declared a statewide Bandh on 6.9.2013 as a protest, which has gained a lot of support from the other organizations in the state. Talking to the press about garnering greater support for the Bandh from various quarters GPCC President said that ever since the Bandh Call has been made the BJP government has got so rattled - the DSP and collectors have been behaving as if they are a part of the BJP government. He said that the BJP government has been a stronger promoter of corruption and it is only because of this that the Lokayukta law faced so much of opposition. The BJP government has broken the spirit of good officers in the state. He said that crime has increased at an alarming level in the state, with the number of rape, murder and loot cases increasing. During the Bandh, emergency services will not be affected- senior citizens, the sick and disabled will not be put to any difficulty. GPCC has appealed to staff of colleges and universities to support the Bandh.
