Our online TV network launches in November 2015. But the library part has grown to such a degree we can now post retrospective catalogs of material. Today we revisit our uber popular TUNEPLAY FILM MUSIC CHANNEL. Love him or hate him, Hans Zimmer has emerged as perhaps the quintessential film composer of the new Millenium - his unique orchestral / electronic melange becoming THE prototype which many other scores (good and bad) would seek to emulate. Weve always felt some of his earliest work his most impressive; and RAIN MAN is the classic which put him on the map. Composing sounds of the order of the universe music which in certain respects only Dustin Hoffmanns autistic Raymond character could hear, Zimmers much imitated masterpiece would combine Afro-Cuban rhythms, didgeridoo, pan flutes and ethereal electronics in a world beat which would dominate the cinema/music art for the next twenty years. youtube/watch?v=8k4_-KspebA
