GUMTREE Gumtree is apparently one of very few online sites where animals can be advertised as free to a good home. Most other sites have banned this practice. At first glance this doesnt sound that bad, but: Pets given away for free face a very uncertain future because the nice person who came to claim the no longer wanted cat might just be collecting some bait for his dog fighting mates. Other pets are used for backyard breeding. It is NEVER a good idea to offer pets as free to people you do not know! Anyone who genuinely wants a pet will be prepared to pay something.
