GUiLT Carrying a guilt is like a perpetual millstone around your neck. It continually irritates you ; it makes you feel small every moment; it pierces your inward peace; it lowers you in your own self- esteem ; it makes you feel less than a man. Speak the truth to get rid of the burden of carrying this guilt perpetually. It will give the person a great relief from the sell- inflicted punishment. The disclosure tranquilizes your mind & heart. Edmund Burke , English Statesman & Orator ( 1720- 1792) wrote beautifully on Guilt : Guilt is never a rational thing ; it distorts all the faculties of the human mind ; it perverts them ; it leaves a man no longer in free use of his reason ; it puts him in confusion .
