GWHS Parents....Im reflecting on this weekend this morning. I want you to know that I am sooooo proud of your kids! Heres my official morning announcement to them. I want to offer my sincere thanks for your participation in the George West Centennial Celebration this weekend. I continually received compliments through the weekend about your job well done. I was finally able to officially brag about you Saturday, and I was honored to do so. Every time I looked up, the band was performing somewhere---even on Sunday at the Historical Markers Unveiling Ceremony. Thank you! I appreciate those students who helped, were interested and respectful as you visited at the Vietnam Wall. It was impressive. NHS was in the parade, Art Club was painting faces, NHS selling t-shirts, athletes supporting the Booster Club by selling refreshments, and cheerleaders and George were leading all the visitors in the Alma Mater Saturday night. Leaders from throughout the school did an AMAZING job as you stepped up to help with the high school tours. Our guests were so impressed with our high school, but especially our tour guides. You were engaging, articulate, and personable. Perfection! Mr. Waterhouse, Mrs. Keach, Mr. Williamson, Mrs. Locke, Mrs. Emerson, Ms Balko, Mrs. Cantu, Mr. Zeigler, Susie, Prissy, and Tina, thank each one if you for your participation and part in leading our students this weekend, as well. Mr. Sparks and I thank you for representing GWHS in such a grand way. We are extremely proud of each of you. Thanks for your hard work. It was a great weekend. So Parents, you have to be proud! They were awesome! I get choked up when I think of what a fabulous job they did. Thanks for raising amazing kids!
