GYMC Bursary and Schoolarships: The GYMC is pleased to offer two scholarships and two bursaries to students in the Education Queensland Instrumental Music Program. These scholarships and bursaries aim to recognise and value the commitment and contribution a student makes to the Instrumental Music Program. A student’s engagement with the Instrumental Music Program will be highly valued, while the activities a student lists in selection criteria 4, will be considered when differentiating between students who are seen to have made equal contribution to the Instrumental Music Program. Scholarships: Tuition only McGregor Summer School scholarship/s for workshops conducted at the University of Southern Queensland in Toowoomba during January 2014. All other costs such as accommodation, meals, transport, etc. are the Recipient’s responsibility. Please view the link before making application to ensure that you are able to meet the timelines and additional expenses. usq.edu.au/mcgregor/summer/ Bursaries: Two bursaries each valued at $250 to be used towards music workshops, tuition, sheet music or instrument costs. All Instrumental Music students from Years 10 – 12 are encouraged to apply for these bursaries. Please EMAIL a copy of your submission (preferably typed) addressing all the selection criteria and a scanned copy of the form available from your school. If some criteria do not apply to you then write “Not Applicable” for that selection criteria. Students may ask teachers for help in writing and proof reading their applications, or telephone the GYMC President on 49783544 for assistance.
