Gabriel Paulsita is set to become one of the most expensive defender in Arsenals history for £15m and although Im happy that Wenger is addressing our lack of defenders, I cant be the only sceptical Arsenal fan? Paulista is 25, hes never played a game from Brazil and although hes the second best at interceptions in La Liga, that stat doesnt prove anything. Arguments can be made that Koscielny was in a similar sort of position when we singed him for Lorient FC however I feel for the money were spending on Paulista, a CB could be bought in with proven premier league experience which I feel is vital to 90% of the players we sign unless proven world beaters such as Sanchez. The likes of Ron Vlaar and Winston Reid are both available for under £15m and contain for more experience. Even John Stones of Everton could be more productive, hes young, represented England and has BPL experience. I dont wish to sound arrogant or selfish but its a thought that perhaps were investing too much into a unproven player. What are your opinions? -JR
