Gabriel had his shots on Wednesday. He got his normal seneges shot and his flu shot, and also 3 other vaccines he had to have. He did not do so well afterwards. He was extremely irritable, his breathing was rapid and he was up ALL night Wednesday night. We took him in and apparently these babies have a harder time with immunizations that healthy heart babies. That was still alot of shots all at once. I hate that he HAS to have these, because I can go on about vaccines all day long but I have no choice with him. We went to MUSC and they said it was pretty typical and didnt seem too concerned so we took him home. He was finally starting to feel a little better last night. He slept through the whole night so I pray hes back to normal today. He also had a swallow study done and showed the liquid did go where it was supposed to, and there was no aspiration. Thank God! He does have some food aversion which is expected because he is tube fed. We will work closely with a Occupational Therapist to help to him to eat more by mouth. We eventually would like to get rid of the Gtube. Next Wednesday is his big Cath, to see if the medicine has helped lower his lung pressures so we can move foward with the second surgery. Please pray hard for this! Thank you all for following our little Superhero and for all the prayers and support . I cant believe he is 8 months already. Where has this time gone?
