Gaia by LaOta Rassoull The Earth we live on is not a giant lifeless rock hurtling through time and space. It is living, breathing, conscious entity. This entity has a feminine expression and is often called “mother” earth. In the same way our spirit lives inside our bodies, the Earth is the body of the spirit variously referred to as Gaia, Mother Earth, or Pachamama. Gaia nurtures everything on this planet. All civilizations, all nature kingdoms, all animals, all humanoids and all humans are living within her or on her outer surface. Human bodies reflect her elements and her motion. Our carbon, oxygen, hydrogen and nitrogen containers are a gift from her body, and we ride effortlessly upon her, going about our way, while she glides flawlessly thru the solar system. Gaia is intimately connected to our solar system, this galaxy and the larger universe. She is their obedient servant; we her unruly children. These children range from nano particles to the elements of earth wind, fire and water. She plays host to the power and majesty of the angels. We on the other hand are enmeshed in a civilization that does not acknowledge nor practice love of all living things, and is disconnected from universal consciousness. We see this disconnection expressed daily in the planet’s most prevalent emotion–fear. We are afraid of each other and everything in nature including Gaia. But Gaia has tired of this spirit shrinking emotion and is beginning to remove it like we would remove dead skin. The world we are experiencing is changing rapidly and is presenting profound transformation even on the surface of mother earth’s back; forcing many to rethink beliefs, purposes, priorities and patterns of behavior. We can see the way the earth has been treated, we can see companies and organizations collapse because they are not changing the way they think and behave. Ultimately each one must decide in their own hearts if they will inhabit the new awareness where we are conscious of how we place our footprints on our mother’s back. The fundamental change that is coming forward in every successful system is a shift from self-consciousness, to group-consciousness, to soul consciousness, to God consciousness. Gaia is so dedicated to our welfare and has such great love for us that when she detects that something in our biology is out of alignment she will inspire the plant kingdom through its own intelligence to grow the very element needed to bring harmony back to the body. Gaia is always moving us toward our highest path and purpose. This dedication to our welfare may seem like a new awareness, but is really not new, just seldom registered by our consciousness. There is a rhythm always present with Gaia that purifies and neutralizes all that is not within our higher interest. However we must choose our own direction–sit upon her back in fear, or feel for her pulse and decide to be the child of our mother and support life as we and our ancestors have been supported. The physical world was created to give all souls the ability to reach their highest spiritual potential, through self-discovery utilizing free will. The choices we make measure and tally where we are in our soul’s evolution. We live in an electro-magnetic universe, where like energy attracts like energy.
