Gails campaign and Journey While having exploratory surgery - TopicsExpress

Gails campaign and Journey While having exploratory surgery last November, the surgeon found and biopsied a small tumor. When I went for my surgical followup visit I was told I have Vulvar Cancer. This is a rare Cancer and can be difficult to treat properly. In February 2014, they did my first surgery to remove the tumors. Unfortunately, my Cancer tumors are back already. A PET Scan will help the Oncologist determine where any other cancer cells are located and ensures the proper treatments are being done. Medicare says that I have not been fighting Cancer long enough to warrant the test. Sounds crazy, right?! Thats what I thought too. I am disabled from a bladder disease called Interstitial Cystitis. I was diagnosed back in 2005 and was disabled by it in 2006. Needless to say, since that diagnosis I have been diagnosed with several more serious health problems and now I am fighting the Big C along with all the rest. If pain were like Uppers...I would be on cloud nine. I am expecting my first Granddaughter anytime now...Ivy Lynn!!! I am so excited!!! My Daughter, however, is scared stiff. She knows that I am trying everything possible to beat this...but she also knows that these battles are not often won.
