Gaining Momentum Without too much fuss let’s just step into - TopicsExpress

Gaining Momentum Without too much fuss let’s just step into motion. On Sunday morning i changed the channel to a Gospel Music one. It was very local with the band and a large group of singers all similarly dressed singing one verse over and over and dancing in a circle. Had it not been gospel and had the people been dressed in other garb one could think it was a service delivery protest. The same repetitive movements, over and over. The same words with the same intensity. Momentum was being gained. I then joined in, all by my lonesome self. Now it may have looked stupid but i choose to step out of my comfort zone even if no one was there to see it. It reminds me so much of the tent services which i simply loved to attend. We are South Africans and a lot of our culture is locked or released in rhythmic movement. We must see it as such and use it to gain momentum. The tent services with power being provided via a defective power lead from a neighbour was also based on momentum. But that’s another story for later. I immediately knew that i had to share it with you. But how? A little friction car sprung to mind. Gretha strangely enough could relate to it. I do not even know if friction toys are still made. You put it’s wheels on a hard surface and pull it backward ie. turning the wheels in a clockwise direction. You could release it after one such pull, but why would you. The distance after one pull may be 1metre, two pulls 2metre etc. So we always pulled it to it’s max or until we could pull no more. That is momentum. We increase the speed by a repetitive action and release the car to travel as fast as possible as far as possible. This is how we must live our lives as well. Everything is not going to happen overnight. You just may be in a stage of winding up but going nowhere. There are some pitfalls one has to look out for. Do not try and halt the release button. Constant winding without being propelled to another level is a waist of energy. Winding the wheels and then keeping it in the air until the wheels stop turning will also take you nowhere. One wind and then releasing it is a safe option but very soon you will have to rewind again. I suppose we all have to choose where we fit into this picture. Some not wanting to be wound up. Just so comfortable where we are. Others being released before the time? Others who rather wait to be towed somewhere? Sometimes when things happen to us is when we are propelled into another place simply because your sell by date is up. It is time to move upward. See it as such. Let’s not forget that the friction runs out and you stop somewhere. You will have to familiarise yourself with your new surroundings for a set time and then guess what, prepare to be wound up again. So how do i start the process? Step out of your comfort zone. You could just repeat one more time than what you think is enough or feel comfortable with, “Lord fill me with you peace today enough to share with the world” or “ thank you for your abundant provision in my life” or “no weapon formed against me shall prosper”. Remember you are in the process of generating a power to being propelled to another level. Pull that car back and get those wheels spinning. I have just been encouraged myself. I thank you for reading my notes and i am so grateful i get filled daily with new one’s more than i can cope with in my limited time. Have a super day and may the Lord bless and guide you and pull you a bit and then release you.........Whoooshhhhhh
