Gaining permission to use photos of an artists works in a novel is a real bear. But I had to have a few of Camille Claudels sculptures included in RODINS LOVER, so I commissioned a former student of mine, now professional artist, Joshua DeLillo, to sketch her works instead in charcoal. Somehow he made the first two look like bronze & the third like the jade its made of. Theyre bloody brilliant, gorgeous and Im SO PLEASED, I had to share them. It feels so special to support another artist. Camille would approve. Thank you, Josh!
