Galatians 5 1 Stand fast therefore in the liberty wherewith Christ hath made us free, and be not entangled again with the yoke of bondage. 2 Behold, I Paul say unto you, that if ye be circumcised, Christ shall profit you nothing. 3 For I testify again to every man that is circumcised, that he is a debtor to do the whole law. 4 Christ is become of no effect unto you, whosoever of you are justified by the law; ye are fallen from grace. 5 For we through the Spirit wait for the hope of righteousness by faith. 6 For in Jesus Christ neither circumcision availeth any thing, nor uncircumcision; but faith which worketh by love. A lot people like to throw around the words fallen from grace. Typically it is followed up by a speech on why a person can lose their salvation if they dont follow the law. But lets look at it IN CONTEXT. The fact is that the OPPOSITE is true. Those who are fallen from Grace are those that are relying upon themselves to be good enough to be saved and thus do not rely and rest in the Grace of God. All fall short of the glory of God and works will not save us. It is only when we trust in Christ and Christ Alone that we can walk on true liberty and will actually live a more Godly life accepting Him than we ever could trying to work our way to Him. So the term fallen from grace does not even apply to a child of God. It applies to those unwilling to accept His Grace and instead go about trying to build their own righteousness instead of trusting in HIS righteousness.
