Galatians 5:9 KJV A little leaven leaveneth the whole lump. ............................. It is usually the little things in life that give us the most problems. The reason is because the little things are allowed to get bigger and bigger until they consume us. There was a man who walked across the U.S. from the east coast to the west coast. A TV reporter asked him about the greatest challenges he encountered. Was it the tall mountains you had to walk up, the searing temperatures, the freezing cold or perhaps the great loneliness of being by your self for months? To the reporters surprise the answer was the sand in my shoes. Small grains of sand would work down into his shoes and if left, would cause blisters that eventually halted his journey until healed. That same principle applies to us today as we live out our life. It is the small sins that seemingly have no or little consequences that we let hang around until it is too late. Like the above verse mentions a little leaven (yeast) mixed in the dough will spread so the whole mixture is filled with yeast, so a little sin in our lives if not dealt with will eventually cause big issues in every other area in our life. Today see the small things that are not good and deal with them BEFORE they cause great issues. In others words SHAKE OUT THE SAND AND RUN THE RACE!!
