Galax VA. Hi there....I am with the Twin County Humane Society in Galax VA. This is Kobe before and after. His owner died and he spent 14 days at the shelter. We had to pull him or he would be euthanized today. He is at a vet clinic currently. We have vet documentation that he just turned 14. He is deaf and appears to be almost totally blind BUT he is very active and happy. He is not neutered but owner kept current on rabies bordetella and dhpp. Owner was in county nursing home and when nurses aid found him dead in bed, Kobe was right next to him..... We have no suitable options for him. Yes, please feel free to post his information to your members as well as any other groups. He is currently being boarded at a vet clinic in Galax, VA, and you can use my email address as the contact. My cell is 276-237-4297. This is a very poor mountain community and its very difficult to find decent homes for normal dogs! This little dog does get around extremely well - and his teeth are perfect. Literally, if I only aged him by his teeth I would call him 3 years! Unbelievable - and he has never had a dental. We do know that he is almost 14. Deaf, and woman that kept him for about a week said she feels like he can see shadows. To me, it looks like he has dry eye in his one eye, and Im sure the vet will address that.
