I am right now concluding the first part of Science and Technology undergraduate course in Brazil. I’ve often paid attention at computational disciplines and it seems that I have developed some expertise in this study field. Now it is time to put electronic and computational skills together to build my main interest. I wish to learn as much as possible about the automation; it means knowledge to ameliorate human life using electronic devices. I am interested in knowing how to project and operate devices to execute diversified tasks. I am very interested in low cost devices that can be assembled and used by people that cannot afford expensive products. The intention is to provide and disseminate technology to improve human beings lives at reasonable costs. To achieve this goal I think that I will need to learn about computational programming, electronics, servo-mechanics, design and manufacturing. Related to programming I wish to understand open source operational systems and associated computational languages. One interest is to build algorithms to improve decision rules to optimize and to give more independence to projected devices. Related to electronics my goal is to learn about circuits, its part components and the countless relationships among them. One special interest is to be improved in sensor studies, knowing its broad properties, how to project, find right materials, calibrate and give them accuracy and robustness. Servo-mechanics is the area that will allow me to know how to better explore the electricity power to move artifact parts to do things precisely in time and space. Related to design I wish to learn about the design principles and optimization to enhance device applications. Finally, related to manufacturing I intend to develop expertise to design machines that can produce all sorts of objects that can be used to build framework to give people empowerment to push the 3rd industrial revolution. I am looking for popular Fab Labs manufacturing and going further in the arduino and "raspberry pi" world. So, these are my general interests. Going deeper beyond broader issues, I am looking for visual impaired persons helping applications. You know I have some visual deficiencies and suffered to pursuit my goals at similar conditions to the ones not having the same difficulties. When I have done my last TOEFL exam unfortunately I stayed stand up for unbelievable five hours due to problems using the exam technology. So, you can wonder what disadvantage I did get because the right devices were not available for me. We know that technology can effectively help handicapped human beings but only if it is well done and available at right time, at right place and at right ones. A friend of mine has created a cellular phone application that announces vocally arriving buses as soon as they are becoming close to the bus station. I would love to develop expertise to project devices that can help handicapped persons, detaching impaired visual ones. Concluding I am accomplished to learn about technology to be affordable and to help people.
