Gambia Agrees To Host BYC Home Fixture By: Sylvester Worwee Barrack Young Controller will play both legs of their preliminary round of Champions League matches on Gambian soil, should the Liberia Football Association request for neighboring Ivory Coast or sisterly Ghana to serve as alternative home for the Liberian champions failed to materialize. The Gambia Football Federation in concord with the country authorities have agreed to host BYC home tie against The Gambian champions Real de Banjul on Gambian’s territory, after the Liberian were forced to move their home match to a neutral venue for fear of spreading the Ebola disease. The Liberian champions travels to The Gambia to face Real de Banjul in the first leg of Africa’s premium clubs competition on the weekend of February 13-15 2015, with the return fixture coming up in two weeks. Liberia other continental representatives, FC Fassell participation in the Confederation Cup is in limbo as their request to use the Ghanaians capital, Accra for their home fixture is yet to be granted. CAF has also ordered FC Fassell first leg tie with Horoya of Guinea in Conakry on the weekend of February 13-15 moved to a neutral venue because CAF still considered Guinea, Liberia and Sierra Leone as Ebola hot zones.
