Game edition consoles are a bad idea. Well at least the current batch are. What does the white PS4, white XB1 & CoD XB1 have in common? Theyre bundled with new titles that may or may not flop. Its a plan to get fanboys to buy consoles that will be of lesser value than their original counterparts. At least with the white consoles you dont have blatant branding, so if Destiny or Sunset fall short you trade in and try to forget. Hell, add a white Wii u and white furniture and you have a pretty set up. The cod console is a bigger gamble. Sledgehammer may fail. Do you really want a reminder of that for the remainder of this cycle? Do you want a monument to your fanboyism for 10 years? Themed consoles are also silly for that reason: why dedicate your console to one title? Especially a new game? But hey, your choice. Bring a Halo console, people love halo. Bring an uncharted PS4, that has a fan base. This trend we have now is a big gamble for console companies. At least the cod Xbox one has a 1TB HDD. True. But that begs to question: WHY NOT GIVE US THAT FROM THE START? And with only a 500GB increase, youd get better value buying a current bundle and adding a big external HDD. Also, look at the releases for these consoles. White PS4 in September, White Xbox in October and Cod Xbox in November. There are at least 20 titles coming out in that period. Have fun buying a themed console AND many of the upcoming games you like. These are Christmas sellers, for kids to nag their parents. The sad part is, there will be more themed consoles in future. Its a hefty investment to say, choose a cod console now when another title you like may have one next year. As I suggested, buy a bundle now, buy a decal if you want (there are some fantastic ones) & add a new HDD. Or wait til the new consoles come out at their black forefathers drop in price significantly. -Shannon
