Ganduje-Hafiz team remains Kano Peoples hope - Kwankwaso Gov. Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso of Kano state has said that the state APC Gubernatorial candidate, Dr. Abdullahi Umar Ganduje (Gandujen Kwankwasiyya) together with Professor Hafiz Abubakar as his Deputy represent new hope for continuity, progress, and transparent governance for the good people of Kano State. The governor who disclosed this while presenting the 2015 N210.7billion budget to the state House of Assembly tagged budget of celebration of success today, Wednesday, added that I am proud to announce that through prudent and determined efforts we now have a new team of seasoned and tested citizens of Kano as the various candidates in the forthcoming general elections. As foundation members of the Kwankwasiyya Movement this team has resolved and agreed to work with the Kwankwasiyya ideology for continuity, progress and prosperity of Kano State for years to come, he added. He further assured that it is my conviction that if the wining team of Dr. Ganduje and Prof. Hafiz (our Government in-waiting) is able to complete the on-going projects and continue with our programmes in the face of dwindling resources our political future in Kano and Nigeria will be guaranteed. He said the political future of Kano would only be guaranteed if government to be led by Dr. Abdullahi Umar Ganduje and Prof. Hafiz Abubakar is able to continue with all the on going projects and programs of kwankwasiyya Ideology. He then noted that the APC’s candidates remain the hope of the state. He also cautioned youth to resist being lured into political violence and behaviors capable of generating discord by undesirable politicians during the forthcoming general election, appealing on people to take ownership of all public infrastructures and to avoid wastage or vandalization of public utilities. Gov. Kwankwaso called on them to ensure prompt payment of their monthly water bills, ground rents and re-certify their Certificates of Occupancy at Kano Goegraphical Information System (KANGIS), hoping that people would respect building rules and regulations by obtaining permits before they alter structures with a view to avoiding wrath of the law. He told the lawmakers that people of the state have developed positive attitudinal changes, noting that they now respect rule of law and take pride of being Kanawa through the ‘My City My State’ slogan. “Kano people have also taken pride in taking up jobs that were not considered significant a few years ago. Today our male and female youth are proud to be employed into corporate security jobs and our graduates are now fulfilled entrepreneurs that engage in businesses they otherwise would not have ventured into,” the governor pointed out.
