Gang shooting victim (3) brain dead The three-year-old who was hit in the head during an apparent gang shooting in Westbury, Johannesburg, has been declared brain dead. According to an eNCA report, the boy was declared brain dead on Sunday. His parents are reportedly in the process of deciding to take him off life support. Three-year-old Luke Tibbetts was travelling in a car with his family when he was caught in the crossfire of an alleged gang shooting. The shooting happened on Saturday evening at the corner of Steytler and Croesus streets, west of Johannesburg. Tibbetts was rushed to the Garden City Hospital in Johannesburg where he was put on life support. A 26-year-old man who was in a seperate car was also wounded in the crossfire. He was shot in the arm and was discharged from hospital. According to eNCA, a 24-year-old man has been arrested for the shooting. Tibbetts death follows just weeks after four-year-old Taegrin Morris was killed when he was dragged behind a car that had been hijacked. **************************** Like Comment Share
