Ganja and Hess (1973) was great! It had a PHD worth of racial commentary and theory - black white racial dichotomy with flip flop and overlap. Vampirism is really like slave ownership - a black institution that was evil, but coopted and taken from the black by whites. A physical need of the vampire to treat humans as chattel like whites had the need of taking black slaves to build empires. And it is also great commentary about the black church, how it is a lifeboat for black culture in a white envelope - Christiandom. Oh, and besides all that stuff it is a great vampire/horror movie. = )
