Gardner Gray is a person I have the deepest respect for, as he is transparent. For those of you who had not seen my recent posts, we are at a major crossroad. The Atomic Safety and Licensing Board Panel for this highly contested proposed, Powertechs Dewey-Burdock project , convened the formal hearing, in Rapid City, yesterday. We gave our public statements the day before yesterday at their formal hearing in Hot Springs. Then yesterday, The Atomic Safety and Licensing Board Panel ; the ASLBP, { the independent trial-level adjudicatory body of the NRC, who acts on behalf of the Commission. } This panel is comprised of three Judges and a staff of three persons. Nicholas Sciretta, Maureen Conley and Twana Ellis. The panel is supported by members of the NRC. That is how it is supposed to work . . . . so, today, we will see for, this hearing is reflecting a statement on page 4 of publication NUREG/BR-0249.
