Garissa County Assembly rejected the names of the Public Service Committe (PSC) after the Appointment Commitee table before the house its report today. After debating the whole day the members overwhelmly voted out the names. The member from Nanigi ward who is also the Minority Leader Hon, Nasir Mohamed who addressed the media after the session said, he governor have not considered regional and ethnic balance and some of them are not qualified for the post while others are not cleared by Ethic and Anti-corruption as Chapter 6 of the constitution require. "We rejected the names because the are not reflecting the 6 consistuencies of the county," the member stated. The names of the members that was rejected today are; Harun Mohamed Yussuf (chairman), Annette wambiu Muruiki (secretary),Absalan Sh. Mohamed ,Fardowsa Abdikadir, Mohamed D. Yussuf, Mohamed Ibrahim and Abdirizak Said Aden. These will force the Governor to go back the drawing board and come up new list.
