Gary Player once said: “The harder I work, the luckier I get.” (See photo attached – stone made by a friend who sells these for garden and porch purposes) I never cease to be amazed at how the man making that statement epitomizes the truth contained. He is in his 70’s and can still hit a golf ball accurately and incredibly far as well and is considered one of the mainstays of modern golf development around the world since the 1950’s. The key here of course is the word discipline or training in the right manner. We are what we repeatedly do. Excellence, then, is not an act, but a habit. - Aristotle Working with children these past 14 years, we have seen that those who are making a difference now are the same who have developed tendencies and traits of following after Jesus with an obedient heart. They are clearly able to see their lives become fulfilled as they have responded to Jesus’ claim over their precious lives in a consecutive manner. The more they have allowed God to change all aspects of life, the more they have also become more effective (not lucky). Clearly, blessing follows those who obey God.
